CommUUnity Spirit: Feeding Our Neighbors

Be Part of AUUC’s Efforts to ‘Feed Our Neighbors’

Are you looking for family-friendly opportunities to serve our community?

Would you like ways to practice our UU principles – specifically our respect for the interdependent web of all existence and belief in the inherent worth and dignity of every person? Then please join other AUUC’ers this year as we demonstrate our CommUUnity Spirit by helping to feed those in our community who are less fortunate.

We know we can’t solve the problem of hunger in our area, but that shouldn’t prevent us from doing what we can. To that end, the Social Justice and Children’s Spiritual Development Committees are jointly sponsoring a series of Hunger related service opportunities throughout the year.

You will see the informational flyer below posted on bulletin boards, placed in the monthly newsletter and occasionally in This Week and the Order of Service. Please note the dates as the service opportunities are firmed up. As each event approaches, there will be publicity targeted to that event. The items written in blue are currently being worked, and there is separate advertising specifically for those events.

Be a contributor, a volunteer, or even a leader of one of these events as we live our UU principles by Feeding Our Neighbors.
