Ease on down the road for an afternoon showing of The Wiz on February 8 at 1:00pm! You may be familiar with the original Wizard of Oz film or the more recent film, Wicked. But for Black History Month, we will be enjoying the 1978 hit, The Wiz, starring the great Diana Ross as well as Michael Jackson, Nipsey Russel, Ted Ross, Lena Horne, and Richard Pryor.

Though AUUC’s movie nights are usually near the end of each month, this one is being held earlier to avoid conflicting with the Hypothermia Shelter. It’s also an afternoon movie this time so it’s more accessible for kids and folks who don’t drive in the dark. But, like usual, you can expect fun decorations, plenty of snacks and drinks, and a thoughtful discussion after the movie. Whether this will be your first movie event or your hundredth, all are invited to join this family-friendly event!
