Mark your calendar for Sunday, Aug. 25, AUUC’s first meal packing assembly event of this church year. With the new school year starting soon, we are back in full swing with our No Child Goes Hungry/Accotink weekend meal packing for delivery to 35 Halley Elementary children identified as experiencing food insecurity.  We are excited to have our AUUC children, youth, teens and adults help with assembling meal packs in church after one Sunday service each month throughout this church year.

Please consider bringing in a six-pack (or more) of any of the 10 specific food items pictured in the photo below throughout the year. We love our volunteers who assemble the meal packs, and we really appreciate and need the food donations to fill all those bags!

It helps us plan when you use SignUp Genius to let us know ahead what food items you wish to donate by SIGNING UP HERE. Then drop off your food donations in the specially marked black bins located inside the church by Sunday, 8/25.

Meal packing Sundays this church year will be held:  8/25, 9/29, 10/20, 11/17, 12/15, 1/26, 2/23, 3/16, 4/27, and 5/18.
