Are you a poetry lover or are you interested in becoming a poetry lover?
This group is open to anyone with an interest in reading and understanding poetry.
We typically meet once a month on the 2nd Wednesday at 7:00 pm, for great conversation (when in-person meetings are possible, they will be at a member’s home with light refreshments). Through the poetry reading, we are given the opportunity to build connections and fellowship into our own lives. The host will select a poem 2 weeks in advance.
On Wednesday, August 12 at 7:30, the poetry group will discuss poems by Danez Smith. A contemporary black, queer, non-binary poet and performer, they have received numerous awards. They are the author of multiple poetry collections including [insert] boy, Don’t Call Us Dead, and Homie.
