A Blessed Imbolc to you! Wait, what is Imbolc? Let me explain! Imbolc, or Candlemas, marks the halfway point between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. Dedicated to the Celtic Goddess Brigid, it is observed with inspiration and anticipation of the growing season.
But wait, there’s more! Lupercalia! The origin of Valentine’s Day, Lupercalia is the wild and weird purification and fertility festival where young men ran through the city lashing away the bad stuff in preparation for Spring.
So then, Sacred Wheel invites all to the first Holy Day of 2026, at noon on Sunday, February 1st, downstairs in the large classroom. We will also livestream our gathering, so please use the following link, as it is *not* the church link:
If joining virtually, please have the following handy: two candles, something to light them with, and two sets of food and drink as we have two festivals to celebrate.
Get ready to rid yourself of negativity, raise a glass to the Goddess Brigid, and say Salve! We’ll even explain Groundhog Day at long last!
