Welcome to AUUC
A Welcoming and Inclusive Spiritual Home
Accotink Unitarian Universalist Church (AUUC) is a vibrant faith community offering a wide variety of services and programs. Our Sunday worship service happens each week at 10:00am (in person and online). We also offer pastoral care; spiritual development for children, youth and adults; choir; book groups; social justice projects; social gatherings; and other activities.
At AUUC we journey and grow together, inspiring each other to live our shared values while honoring a diversity of beliefs. As a liberal religious community, we are devoted to personal and collective spiritual growth and working for social justice in our surrounding community and the wider world. We offer opportunities for people on a variety of spiritual paths to come together to learn and grow. Together, we cherish our connection to nature, and we act to transform our world into a more embracing and just community.
No matter whom you love, no matter your identity or heritage, no matter your beliefs or background, no matter your means or abilities, you are welcome to join us make AUUC your spiritual home.
About our Worship Service
Worship is at the heart of our lives together. Our worship services begin at 10:00am on Sundays. Together we praise life and love, explore meaning, challenge one another to service, and establish depth in our souls.
Following the service, members and guests are invited to stay for coffee and conversation. Our members would be happy to discuss their experience at AUUC and answer any questions you have about our faith and our church.

Activities and Programs
Caring in Community: AUUC offers opportunities throughout the year to socialize and enjoy community, including many intergenerational gatherings. We also provide emotional and practical support for each other, both organically through a caring web of relationships and organizationally through our minister, Pastoral Care Team, Caring Carders, and Helping Hands.
Growing in Spirit: Spiritual development for children and youth is typically held during the worship hour. We also offer other gatherings, groups, and programs for religious education, spiritual deepening, and nurturing the lifelong journey of growing a soul.
Acting for Justice: AUUC engages the wider community in seeking a more embracing and just world, joining multi-faith partnerships and organizing for advocacy with and for those most at risk.
AUUC strives to be a congregation that truly welcomes all persons and commits to structuring congregational life in ways that empower and enhance everyone’s participation.
