Mar. 3: New Starting Point Small Group

Small Groups are a way that Accotink and other UU congregations build up their community, deepen relationships, and engage with meaningful issues. Accotink will be hosting its next iteration of Starting Point in March and April, welcoming newcomers and long-time members to engage with each other in an introductory experience of a small group, practicing deep listening and sharing practices that occur in these groups.

The “UU path” is central to Starting Point. Inspired by the classic UU slogan, “deeds not creeds,” Unitarian Universalism is presented as a particular way of journeying through the world rather than a set of beliefs to which one assents.

This iteration of Starting Point will be offered Tuesday evenings, March 3, March 17, April 7, and April 21, 7-8:30 p.m. through Zoom. We encourage those who wish to participate to come for all four sessions if possible, as the discussions build upon each other, progressing from personal journeys, through the Accotink journey to a shared journey together. If interested, please sign up through Realm at Starting Point, or e-mail Chris F.
