Nov. 9: Meal Packing

Meal Pack Assembly—
Nurturing GRATITUDE in Action

Join us this Sunday, Nov. 9, when AUUC’s children, teens, and helping adults will assemble meal packs for our 35 children identified as experiencing food insecurity at nearby Halley Elementary School.

Meal Packing is held in the Sanctuary about 10-15 minutes after Sunday’s service. Upcoming meal packing Sundays this church year will be held 12/7, 1/11, 2/1, 3/1, 4/12, 5/3, 2026. Donations of the 10 specific food items are welcome all year long.

The Staff at Halley Elementary sent AUUC this recent Note of Gratitude:

Dear Accotink Unitarian Universalist Church,
On behalf of Halley Elementary, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous donation of food packs to our school. Your kindness and commitment to serving our community make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and their families.

Because of your support, we are able to ensure that our students have access to nutritious food and the care they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom. Your continued partnership reflects the spirit of compassion and community that helps our school family grow stronger every day.

Thank you again for your generosity and for being such a valued partner in supporting our children. We are truly grateful for your ongoing care and dedication.

With appreciation,   All the Staff at Halley Elementary
