“Paradise Is a Potluck, Y’all!”

Multigenerational Worship Service

In Person and Online

Early Christians centered their faith in the resurrection of Jesus. The eucharist became a celebration of how life triumphed over death, a celebration of communal abundance and care. In keeping with the Passover meal it also celebrated liberation from the oppression of empire. This collective liberation, communal care and the shared abundance that came with it was the way early Christians brought heavenly paradise to earth. Join us this Easter Sunday as we observe Easter as a celebration of abundant life and communal care.

SPECIAL NOTE: In keeping with early Christian practice of the eucharist, you’re invited to bring food for our Communion Table—fruits, vegetable for the table and bags of rice, beans, corn flour, and wheat flour to be given to Food Justice DMV.

For Reflection: “When something doesn’t go the way you want, how do you come up with new possibilities?”
