A Multigenerational Water Communion

We are called to be vessels of love in the world. Whatever life sends our way, we can transform those experiences into ways to live more deeply into our commitment to keep Love at the center. Join us as we explore what water has to teach us about the many ways we can be containers for love, shaping our love to fill whatever needs arise.

This Sunday we’ll celebrate Water Communion. Water Communion is a unique Unitarian universalist ritual that lifts up and honors the many ways we’re part of an interdependent web of life. It includes pouring water into a communal vessel. We’ll have water on hand but you’re also invited to bring water. Some UUs even collect water from special places–whether that’s a local stream or a special body of water from summer travels. So you’re invited to bring water with you this Sunday, whether from the tap, a beloved water bottle, a river, stream, lake, or ocean.

For Reflection: “When do you find it most difficult to act lovingly towards another person? What helps you recommit to treating other people with kindness & care?”
