Did you miss your opportunity to see the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, D.C. perform at the Kennedy Center in June? Not to worry because now there will be a FREE screening of GMCW’s concert “Portraits” on the evening of Aug. 23 at 7 pm in the Sanctuary!
This event, in conjunction with True Accotink Colors, will feature the Minneapolis GALA Festival performance featuring nine original musical works based off of nine paintings and set to dance by nine choreographers. Each piece, related to a different LGBTQ+ experience, will let you glimpse into the world in which we live. Then stay after for the small ensembles’ performances in the Minneapolis Convention Hall. There will be snacks and drinks before and during the viewing. Total run time, 1 hour 40 minutes. Read more about “Portraits” here.
