Are you a poetry lover or are you interested in becoming a poetry lover? This group is open to anyone with an interest in reading and understanding poetry. Because of the holiday schedule, our next gathering will be held in-between our usual meeting dates.

Kate M will lead us in a discussion of poetry from the first Native American United States Poet Laureate, Joy Harjo. We have discussed a few of her poems previously along with other indigenous poets, but she deserves her own discussion! Joy Harjo, an internationally renowned performer and writer of the Muscogee Nation, writes poems that sing of beauty and survival, illuminating a spirituality that connects her to her ancestors.
