When Stars Are Scattered
by Victoria Jamieson & Omar Mohamed
Now in our third year, Racial Justice and True Accotink Colors host a monthly Banned Book Club on the second Tuesday of every month. When Stars are Scattered is a critically acclaimed graphic novel by Omar Mohamed and Victoria Jamieson, based on Mohamed’s true story of growing up in Kenya’s Dadaab refugee camp with his nonverbal younger brother, Hassan, after fleeing Somalia.
Join us Tuesday, April 14 at 7pm (via Zoom) to discuss this book. Contact Mary K. for the Zoom link and to be added to the Banned Book Club mailing list.
