Do your children have books they’re no longer reading and are ready to give away? Please consider donating new or gently used children’s books for Halley Elementary students in Preschool through 6th grade.
Halley’s reading specialist will be sending books home with the 35 children receiving our weekly meal packs along with some other students to read and enjoy over the summer and to help “grow” the children’s home libraries.
Please drop off books by Sunday, May 10th in the specially marked bin in the church collection closet area.
Our book collection is another way AUUC is involving our children and youth in our partnership with Halley Elementary School and deepening this special relationship. Thank you from AUUC’s Social Justice Committee.
